In 2000 he began his Formula One career with Williams. In 2001, Jenson moved to Benetton, which became the Renault team the following year. In 2003 he raced for BAR and finished fourth in the World Drivers' Championship in 2004. In 2006, BAR became the Honda Formula One team, for whom Jenson won his first Grand Prix in Hungary. Jenson remained with the team until Honda withdrew from FI at the end of the 2008 season. In 2009, Brawn GP was created. For Brawn GP, Jenson went on to win a record equalling six of the first seven races, securing the Formula One World Drivers' Championship title in Brazil that year. Brawn would also go on to be crowned World Constructors' Champions. In 2010 Jenson moved to McLaren, finishing second in the Drivers' Championship in 2011, remaining with the team until he retired from Formula One at the end of the 2016 season. Since retiring from Formula One, Jenson has raced in a number of different races and championships, including Super GT, where he won the championship in 2018 with teammate Naoki Yamamoto, the FIA World Endurance Championship, the Le Mans 24 Hours and the British GT Championship. He is also co-owner of the Jenson Team Rocket RJN GT team and the JBXE Extreme E team. Jenson has also taken part in the Race of Champions and many off-road races, including the Baja 1000.
